NFL to install ceiling lights in homes for the first time
The NFL has approved the installation of ceiling lights at some of its teams’ locker rooms to provide a visual cue to fans during the bye week, according to the league.
The league has not yet made a decision on whether the ceiling lights will be installed in all stadiums.
The move comes after the league announced in February that the league’s concussion protocol had improved and that the players would be required to wear masks during the week of games.
The league is also taking steps to prevent players from falling asleep during practices or games.
The NFL Players Association has called for the league to eliminate the time-honored practice of having players sleep in the middle of games, saying it creates a safety risk.
