How to Make the Perfect Floor Tile Painting: Paint, Fabric, and More
Make the Tile Wall, Wallboard, and Ceiling.
Paint the walls, ceilings, and floors with a spray of white paint.
Make sure it’s a color that will not show on the ceiling or wall.
You can add a touch of watercolor or black to create a shimmer effect.
The color can be anything from a light wash of water to dark black.
Cut the Tile.
Cut a sheet of plywood that’s 1″ x 1″ to fit between two boards or tiles.
Fill the Tile with Fabric.
Fill a large cup with fabric.
Add a layer of fabric around the fabric so it’s not too tight.
Use a paintbrush, spray bottle, or even your fingernail to paint the tiles with a mixture of water, black, and red.
This will help keep the color from showing through the fabric.
Hang the Tile to Build a Wall.
Hang a plywood wall on the wall.
Start by painting the tile with a paint brush or spray bottle.
The tile will have a shimmering effect on the fabric, so you’ll want to add some more fabric around it so it doesn’t show through.
After the fabric is dry, hang the tile to build a wall.
Make it look more finished and decorative by adding a little more fabric to the wallboard.
Enjoy the Paint!
