Why Juventus have no chance against AC Milan
It is a question that has been asked many times already: why Juventus are not in the title race for the last two seasons.
The answer is simple: they have never been a title contender.
The Bianconeri are just two points above the relegation zone and it is only in the last three seasons that they have been able to reach that point.
They have been unable to win the league for two consecutive seasons, the same goes for the Champions League.
They are just one point away from the bottom.
Juventus, the club that has taken the Champions league and the league crown since 2009, are now three points adrift of the relegation table.
They will need a miracle to get there.
The Bianconeros are only three points above them, which is not an insurmountable hurdle.
But the question remains: who will emerge from the relegation battles?
Milan’s Giampaolo Pazzini is expected to be the frontrunner, but the other contenders are Juventus, Fiorentina and Inter.
The Italian side, which are in the same group as Juve, is already without a win in six games.
They need two points from the final four matches of the season to make it to the group stages.
Juve have won their last three games, and Pazziini has not managed a victory since April 25.
The Milan boss has had his share of problems, especially against Milan and Juventus.
He was sacked by his club on June 6 after a 2-1 home defeat to AC Milan.
The Rossoneri have not won in their last eight matches against the Biancones.
Pazzini has managed to get his team back to the top of the table once.
They reached the last 16 of the Champions Leagues in 2010-11, but lost to Napoli.
They were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
Milan are the last team to qualify for the Europa League, and they have not lost in the group stage of the competition since 2008.
The Italian side are one point behind Juve.
Inter have beaten Milan three times in the Champions competition, but Milan have not been able avenge the 3-0 loss in the first leg of the group last year.
They lost 1-0 in the second leg, 3-2 at home and 2-0 away.
Inter are three points behind Juvies.
Inter will be hoping to get revenge against Milan in the next round.
The Nerazzurri have not beaten the Rossoneris since their last Champions League campaign, and it would be a dream come true for the Nerazzos to get another victory.
Inter can still win the last four matches in Serie A. The league table suggests that it is one point back of Juve at the top.
However, it is also three points from Milan, who sit one point above them.
Inter could also be in the Europa Leagues.
Juventus are currently in the top four of the Serie A, but they have lost five of their last seven games.
A 3-1 loss to Fiorence 04 on May 13 would see them level on points with Inter.
Juvenes need a win against AC Napoli in the final match of the campaign to qualify.
They would need a 1-1 draw to avoid relegation.
